Plan for the day

We will be travelling to London with Stotts Coaches on Thursday 12th December, leaving from Globe Arts Studio, at 7am - please arrive at 6.45am. Due to the number of tickets we are selling, it would be very helpful if you could either walk to us/ get dropped off/ come in a car with other people joining us for the trip- just so we don’t take up the majority of Slaithwaite’s car parking spots!

The driver has allotted up to 5 hours of travel time in each direction, so be sure to bring bottled water, and we will be in contact closer to the time about their food and hot drink policy whilst on board, toilet facilities etc.

Once we arrive at The National Gallery, we will have an hour or so to get some food from the Gallery cafe or surrounding cafes, plus look at the general exhibitions/ displays inside.

As we have 50 tickets in our Globe Arts Trip group, we’ll be split into 2 for the experience. At 1.30pm, half of our group will go into the VG exhibition, and the other half will follow at 1.45pm, they suggest we allow 50–60 minutes for the experience.

Between 2.30-4.30pm the Globees will be heading over to the National Portrait Gallery, 1 minute walk away, and you are more than welcome to come with us, or feel free to spend the extra time in the National Gallery.

We will be gathering at the arranged meeting point at 4.45pm, and getting back onto the coach to set off at 5pm. Once on the coach, we will have a group discussion about our favourite part of the experience and pass our sketchbooks around!

Arriving back at Globe Arts Studio around 10pm
