Kids After School Art Club - 7 to 12 years
Our Tuesday after school art club is for children aged 7 to 12 years, running from 4pm to 5pm during term time.
Our friendly kids tutor, Penny, will introduce a variety of skills every week and each term we will carry out fun projects! Our class will have a maximum of 10 children and is the perfect way for them to get creative whilst making new friends.
We have lots of lovely independent businesses in the village, so why not drop off from the school run and go enjoy a coffee.
Purchase a weekly ticket to come to one session before booking the full block, we’re sure you’ll love it and want to come back!
Please note: we politely ask that you do not drop off your child more than 5 minutes before the class. Our fabulous tutor, Penny, will be preparing all of the fantastic materials!

Colourful Card Sculpture Workshop w. Lizzie Donegan - 15/3/25 @G1
Join Lizzie at G1 this March in a creative Family Workshop, perfect for ages 3 to 103!
3D sculptures Family Workshop £7pp, Sat 15th March, 1.30 - 3.30pm
Create your own masterpieces, worthy of YSP!
Using colourful card, (some pre-made and some plain for you to make your own textures and patterns on) a stapler and a bit of imagination.. you can make abstratct sculptures or try make a self portrait!
Ceramic Badge - Family Workshop - 8/2/25 @G2
Come along with your friends or family to our first family workshop, hosted by Jessica, here at Globe 2.
WHO: Jessica is running the workshop, and it is aimed at anyone aged 5-105!! Come with your young family, your friends from school, your work mates - anyone can join in!
WHAT: You will choose 2 pre- fired ceramic shapes. We will have a large variety of shapes and sizes for you to choose from. You will then pick from our range of colourful underglazes , paint your 2 badges, and leave them with us to glaze and fire. once they’ve been through our kiln, we will glue badge backings on, ready for you to wear with pride!
If you live locally, you can collect them/ we can post them out (+£3pp to be paid on the day to cover bubblewrap, packaging and postage)
These will take us around 2 weeks, and we will email once they’re ready to pick up/ when we’ve handed them over to the posties.

Spooky Paint a Pot!
Join us this Halloween for Spooky Paint a Pot!
Choose your shape (spooky pumpkins, skulls frogs and other creatures are available!) and get creative just in time for Halloween! The pumpkin tea light below is £17, but you can choose anything in our £6-30 range :)
Your £5 per person deposit will be taken off at the end when you pay for your pieces!
Please note, every bum on a seat must pay for a place and must be painting something (unless 12 months or younger)
Please note, These pieces will go in the kiln overnight, and will be ready to collect on Friday 31st between 10am - 2pm.. HALLOWEEEEEEN!
Moonshine 'Window Pictures' Family Workshop - Window lanterns - 19/2/25 @G1
What: Join Zoe and make beautiful window lantern landscapes, just in time for the Moonraking Festival! Using colourful tissue paper and black card, each family will design a window lantern to take home at the end of the workshop. Make a fabulous colourful scene, and display at home!
Tea/coffee/juice and biscuits will be provided in this workshop.
How much: £8 per person - please note, everyone coming along must have bought a ticket

Family Fused Glass Christmas Workshop @G2
Join Zoe at Globe 2 in Holme Mills this festive season!
Using colourful strips of glass, construct a family set of decorations, Inc. a Christmas tree, a star, a snowflake and a present.
Please buy 1 ticket pp, each person can choose which glass shape they want to construct and decorate on the day :)
Suitable for ages 8+ - all children must be able to wear goggles for full duration, and remain seated- this is our workshop environment.
Festive Paint a Pot/ Bauble @G1
A lovely relaxing family workshop, in the run up to Christmas break!
Choose a time slot to suit you, come down to the studio and paint a bauble, reindeer or an xmas tree tealight! (other non-xmassy shapes are also available)
We’'ll have it ready just in time to pop on your Christmas tree!
After painting them, we will glaze them and fire them in our hot kilns for 48 hours.
We will have them strung with red ribbon, ready for you to collect 1 week later, on Saturday 21st December, between 10.30-4pm.
(If you cannot collect, it is an additional £3pp for UK ONLY p&p)
Please note, every bum on a seat must have booked a space and must be painting a piece. (Unless under 12 months old)
The £5pp deposit is deducted from the piece you chose, at the end of the session.

Family Fused Glass Xmas Decs Workshop @G1
Join Zoe & Jackie with your family and make your very own set of fused glass Christmas tree decorations!
Join us 2pm - 3.30pm, for £9 per person
Decorate your tree with different coloured frit and stringers, together as a family.
Suitable for 3 years +, and all participants must be comfortable with wearing safety goggles.
Leave your creations with us to go in the kiln.
Once they’ve been fired (see video at bottom of page), we'll add string so you can hang them on your Christmas Tree!!
It takes us a couple of weeks to fire, clean and string, we will email you when they are ready to collect from Carr Lane studio.

Join Carolyn at Zapato and create a spooky lanterns
Get into the Spooky Spirit as you create decoupage lanterns for Halloween! Use intricate paper cut outs, tissue paper and LED candles.
This is a Family workshop, every bum on a seat must have a ticket and be joining in!

Globe X Zapato - Window box planters
Learn how to make a beautiful wooden window box planter for your home or garden, with Byron and Carolyn!
Each family will work in a group to produce a box planter, which can be taken away on the day, fully lined- ready for you to pop some pretty plants into once you get home.
If you want, you can bring along your own tools, as we will demonstrate how to use all equipment and tools step by step, inc. saw, clamps, drill and a hammer.

Globe X Zapto - Frottage Collages
Join Zoe on this one off family event at Zapato, using found objects and nature, we will play with wax resist technique, and collage these into beautiful handmade pop-up cards!
Drinks and snacks will be on sale at the bar.
All art materials are provided, please don't wear anything you don't want to get paint on! it will most likely be too hot to put aprons on, so just wear clothes you can get messy

Globe X Zapato - Sunshine Printing
Join Donna for this fun family activity over at Zapato!
Using special photograph paper, let’s make some cool and exciting photograms outside of Zapato with Donna!
Get creative in the sun at the lovely Zapato where a selection of drinks are available to purchase, and take your fabulous cyanotype photograms with you to display at home.
Please note, the activity takes roughly 45 minutes/ 1 hour, but we have allocated extra time for younger families :)

Fused Glass Plant Stakes
Join us for a fun afternoon workshop, using colourful glass frit and rods of glass, for adults and kids 10 yrs +
each person will recieve a plant stake measuring approx. 5cm x 15cm.
If you want to do more than one, you can buy an extra one on the day!
Safety goggles must be worn at all times during the workshop
This activity takes between 30 minutes -1 hour
This is also available as a takeaway kit, you can purchase it in the shop (same price) and make it at home at your own pace. Then bring it back to get fired, and we'll email you when its ready to collect and pop in a plant pot!

Fused Glass Easter Eggs

Moonshine 'Window Pictures' Family Workshop - Vinyl Float Glass
Back by popular demand, join Zoe and make a stunning window moonshine decoration to display at home in time for Moonraking Festival. This event completely sold out last year... come and see why!

Christmas Fused Glass At Cliffe House
Find us at Cliffe House this Christmas on Saturday 25th November for a family day out in the run up to the Xmas period.
Join Zoe and create your very own Christmas Fused Glass decoration.
Using frit and stringer, you will decorate a pre-cut piece of triangular clear glass, which we will take back to our studio after the event, and fuse in our big kiln!
You can make a funky Christmas tree, a character like Santra or an Elf, or you can create any random pattern with the beautiful colours we have available. We'll have our examples out to show you some of the possibilities!
Just pick a time slot that suits you and your family, buy 1 ticket pp, suitable for anyone aged 5-105! We will provide safety goggles which must be worn throughout the session.
Please note- you cannot take these away with you on the day ..
these take 7-14 days to be fused in the kiln, back at our studio, cleaned, strung, and collected by a "Friends of Cliffe House" team member.
