Globe Turns 10!
Happy 10th Birthday to Globe Arts Studio!
Globe Arts Studio is the outcome of a determined lady (who you may know!) named Jackie who set out to achieve her dream, with the help of lots of talented tutors and creatives to help achieve her vision.
Jackie graduated with a Fine Art degree in 1991, and went on to gain her PGCE in 1995 - she has since taught in a variety of high schools and colleges, offering her support and guidance, as well as inspiring new generations of artists! We sure that anyone who has come along to one of Jackie’s classes or workshops will agree that she always works hard to create a relaxing yet encouraging environment for everyone!
Whilst on the topic of Jackie’s students and clients, one of whom you may know very well is Zoe - our Globee Manager and Creative Director, who was taught by Jackie from the age of 11 up to 18! Zoe is Jackie’s right-hand woman, and paired together they make the perfect team - constantly coming up with brand new workshop ideas, and ways to keep Globe Arts exciting and inclusive for everybody.

After years of growing a fabulous clientele and getting involved with the community at fairs and events, our Globe Arts family has continued to grow - we have built friendships with our fantastic and caring clients, and Jackie and Zoe have truly worked so hard together to build an amazingly talented team of tutors… it is because of this we have been lucky enough to expand to Globe 2, our new dedicated space for glass and ceramics at Holme Mills!
On Sunday 25th August 2024, we had our Open Day at Globe 2 - and what an incredible day it was! We were completely ecstatic with all the love and support shown by our freelance tutors, clients and new faces who we hope to see again soon. It was such an incredible moment to introduce everyone to the new space that we fell in love with last year, and have been working hard to transform ever since.
We are so proud (and fortunate!) that every day collectively with our Globe Arts team, we are able to offer a creative space, relaxing courses and motivating workshops, along with our community-focused events to bring everyone together - all thanks to a brave and inspiring woman who set out to achieve her dream 10 years ago.
