WHO: Our Saturday Art Clubs tutors alternate between our 3 fantastic tutors.
WHAT: Our Young Creatives club is especially for children aged 11 years plus. The class combines fun and creativity while developing technical art and craft skills. Each half term has a theme based project written by the tutors - recently we’ve had a go at pointillism, portraiture and print-making.
We ensure the children create alongside merging artists who inspire and enthuse, trying out techniques and using materials that schools generally don’t teach until later years of High School.
Our Globe tutors running these courses are experienced teachers, with DBS and first aid training.
WHEN: Saturday’s 11.15am - 1pm, throughout the year during term time.
WHY: Our Young Creatives gives children the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and get inspired by a selection of different artists
HOW MUCH: £66 when you book all 6 weeks together (works out at £11 per session), or £14 per weekly ticket if you want to try it out first
Please note new times, we now have 11.15 am start, 1 hr 45 minute session.
JAN/FEB term will include the following;
Decoupage lanterns for our window displays! (see Paige’s Ipad drawing plan above)
Painting Chinese New year Watercolour Snake Calendars
Book binding their own sketchbooks, looking at Folklore Stories
Learning Pen & Ink techniques, plus Chinese calligraphy
PLUS- Working with local artists to create barrel lanterns for the Moonraking festival!
