Please welcome Kyja, who will be teaching our tasters on select weekends during 2025, and our Friday evening throwing classes from Feb/march term onwards, at G2.

WHAT: During this fun and laid back 1 hour taster, you will receive 3 balls of clay, and after a demo from Kyja - you try make your own small vases/ bowls.

2 of your thrown peices will be chucked in the “bucket of doom” (if you watch Pottry Thrown Down, you’ll know) and your best 1 can be kept, to be fired and clear glaze will be applied. This process takes upto 6 weeks, as it needs to dry, be bisque fired, then glaze fired.

HOW MUCH: £30 pp, this includes your favourite piece getting fired and glazed too! (please note - if we have less than 5 people, this may be postponed and we’ll transfer you to the next session/ refund you.)

WHO: Kyja loves all things art and has a passion for making handthrown pottery. After completing a higher education in Art and Design, specialising in hand-thrown pottery during the final year of her degree, she is eager to share her skills and guidance to inspire others in the beauty of throwing!
