Join Nigel in his first time teaching with us here at Globe Arts, and make large coiled vessels, like the ones below!
In the 2 x Tuesday sessions, 28th February & 7th March, 10-4pm, you will cover the following;
- Basic coiling techniques and coiling a small form.
- Complete small form, looking at different surface techniques (relief, burnishing, distorting)
- Roll base and begin larger form.
- Develop larger form, drying with heat gun as it grows. Cutting and distorting forms.
- Surface design. Relief and/or burnishing, colour.
- Complete Surface design. Relief and/or burnishing, colour.
- Glaze or finish pieces ready for firing
