Fused Glass Flower Workshop
Join Zoe in this one-off workshop designing and creating beautiful colourful fused glass hanging decorations.
Anyone with any experience level can join us for this workshop.
All materials, refreshments and instructions/ demonstrations provided in this 3 hour session.
These glass flowers shimmer in the light, they can be kept inside during the colder months- just hang it near a window using fishing line.
We will have these fired and ready for collection within a 2 week window.

Join brilliant artist Annie Roche for an afternoon of Hockney-inspired Mixed Media!
Working with Hockney’s bold brush strokes and exuberant colour. We will do some preliminary studies, working with expressive colours, using flowers as a starting point, but also free to imagine . Create a painting which captures the joy of summer, the unbelievable colours to be found in nature, with Hockney’s heighten colour palette and confident strokes.

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP
We start with an introduction to calligraphy and the square edged nib pen. You will then learn a modern calligraphic hand derived from historical scripts All tools, materials and handouts will be provided. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn.

“I have always loved words and books. One day joined a calligraphy class and discovered the magical power and possibilities to be found in letters. I have been a passionate calligrapher ever since that day in 1985.
I have been a tutor since the early 1990’s, taught all over the country, run innumerable workshops, been an artist- in-residence twice, had my exhibited work all over the country, developed my skills by attending a huge number of calligraphy courses and workshops both here and abroad. My work is held in both public and private collections.
I have been a member of Calderdale Calligraphers since it started in 1988 and am active member of both the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and the Calligraphy and Lettering Society.”

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting mucky and bring an apron if you have one!
Feel free to bring anything along if you wish, like a sketchbook if you're working in one, however all materials will be included on the day.
