Our Young Creatives club runs every Saturday in term-time 11am to 1pm, and is especially for children aged 11 years plus. The class combines fun and creativity while developing technical art and craft skills. Each half term has a theme based project written by the tutors - recently we’ve had a go at pointillism, portraiture and print-making.
We ensure the children create alongside merging artists who inspire and enthuse, trying out techniques and using materials that schools generally don’t teach until later years of High School.
Our Globe tutors running these courses are experienced teachers, with DBS and first aid training.
This term we will be covering Experimental Drawing, Sensory Drawing, Hot Wax Drawing inspired by Kandinsky, Abstract Shadows, and creating our very own Shadow Sculptures inspired by Tim Burton and Alberto Giacometti!
Art Academy is for students who have shown a keen interest in developing their skills and knowledge outside of Saturday Art Club.
(We have kept these tickets with the 2 hour art club slot, but will email when we know which dates we need to extend by 30 mins.)
These FREE extended sessions will not be every single Saturday, and we will give as much notice as we can, when a special event comes up where we want them to participate outside of the 11-1PM art club slot. A few students from last term joined us at Coachella Slawit festival, in the creative corner helping us with fun activities for the music and wellbeing celebrations!
We really hope your child will take up this opportunity!
