About Fiona
Fiona first set foot through Globe Arts Studio’s doors almost 10 years ago, coming along to lots of different classes taught by Jackie! Over a year ago, Fiona became part of the team, and is a huge part of Globe Arts.
Fiona graduated in a Graphic Design Degree (majoring in print making) when she was 26. She has since taught people of ALL ages, whether it be primary, secondary, tertiary, or anything in-between - lots of people are lucky to have learnt from Fiona’s expertise! Fiona is currently keeping her skills fresh by attending classes and workshops regularly!
Fiona’s art influences!
From as early as Fiona can remember, she has always been passionate about art and exploring creativity. Always showing interest in drawing and painting, Fiona’s infant school teacher noticed her work and encouraged her to pursue her talent.
Where will you find Fiona at Globe Arts Studio?
The question is - where won’t you find Fiona at Globe Arts Studio! We are very lucky to have Fiona at the studio with us 3 days a week. Her weekly Monday morning Drawing & Painting (intermediate/advanced) challenges clients to step out of their comfort zone as they experiment with new materials and focus on varying artists with Fiona’s guidance. You’ll then find Fiona running Globe’s Art Club - the perfect session to relax, sketch and chat!
On Wednesdays, you can find Fiona guiding the Print Club as they develop their ideas to create the most fabulous prints - a brilliant way to spend your Wednesday afternoons to brighten up your week!
And of course, there is Fiona’s Beginners/Intermediate Life Drawing class on Thursday evenings - there are many benefits of Life Drawing (read about it in our recent blog post), and who better to learn from than Fiona? If you’ve been wondering about Life Drawing, but have never given it a go, how about coming along to Fiona’s class? Working with different models each week, Fiona will guide you and help you build your confidence with different techniques. Fiona keeps her own Life Drawing skills sharp by going to Jackie’s Advanced Life Drawing classes.
To summarise, Fiona is a lady of many talents, and is always willing to offer guidance to our fabulous clients!
“Fun facts” about Fiona!
If you ever bump into Fiona outside of Globe Arts, there’s a chance that she might be closely followed by her “herd of dogs”. Despite having a mini army of canines in her home, one thing NOT to task Fiona is drawing them!
