Life Drawing beg/int - Thursday Evenings

We are delighted to introduce Richard Kitson where you will learn and develop basic skills working in charcoal, graphite, chalks and pastels.

Richard is a local artist primarily known for his portraiture and figurative works in oil paint. You may recognise Richard from Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year where he painted Paralympic athlete Kadeena Cox MBE at the Wallace Collection in London.

‘Drawing is key to my practice and I demonstrate a wide variety of academic drawing techniques. Globe Arts Studio looks like a great creative community in which to share ideas and help people develop their skills.’

The class is fully tutored and we supply all your equipment and materials. The class size is small and we follow the latest guidance for COVID safe procedures. The class will incorporate a wide range of drawing techniques and mediums and takes inspiration from many of the great artists. We book a range of models through the year, so whether you choose to dip in for the occasional block or make it part of your creative year we ensure that there will always be variety, breath and challenge in each class.

6 week block £120

It’s brilliant! Reminds me why I think art is fundamental to all learning. I love being part of a group - we learn from each other. I think Jackie is in a class of her own as a teacher!
