Join our new tutor Jessica for Tuesday nights on the wheel!
SPRING TERM - Tuesday 22nd April til Tuesday 20th May
WHAT: Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates, where you will learn in a small intimate group to ensure you get the proper guidance and tuition needed.
You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. Your tutor will show you how to shape your piece, trim and neaten, then decorate with glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln.
You should come away with 3 masterpieces to take home, but please be aware that absolute beginners’ pieces are more likely to break during the bisque fire, so there is a chance that they might not survive!

She specialises in creating illustrative underglaze designs, taking inspiration from the local nature and moorlands which she is grateful to live amongst.
