FEB/MAR TERM - Starts Wednesday 26th February until Wednesday 2nd April - 1-3pm
SPRING TERM - Starts Wednesday 23rd April until Wednesday 21st May
WHAT: This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates, and is a small intimate group with a maximum of 6 places per term, to ensure you get the proper guidance and tuition needed.
Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. You will also learn how to apply glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln. Over the 6 weeks you will learn how to shape your piece, trim and neaten and decorate with glazes.
WHO: David will be your tutor for this 6 week course. David is fantastic ceramicist and has been a part of Globe Arts for many years.
WHERE: Globe 2, Holme Mills, West Slaithwaite, HD7 6LS
HOW MUCH: £160 for 6 weeks (6x 2 hour sessions) - includes tuition, materials and refreshments
(Please note - the course price includes up to 3 pieces per term, you can pay extra if you want to fire and glaze more pieces, which can be paid for at the end of term to the technician on shift)
