Join David over at Globe 2 for our latest ceramic course- throwing on the wheel!
This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates, and is a small intimate group with a maximum of 6 places per term, to ensure you get the proper guidance and tuition needed.
Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. You will also learn how to apply glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln.

Week 1 - Introduction to clay, and centering the clay
Week 2 - Wedging clay and forming cylinders
Week 3 - Practicing creating bowls
Week 4 - Controlling the shape of clay, and creating large pieces
Week 5 - Throwing large cylinders
Week 6 - Further practice and glazing any fired pieces
Over at Globe 2, Holme Mills 1-3pm on Wednesdays
