Join our new freelance Mixed Media tutor, Jo Naylor, in her brand new 3 week short course here at Globe Arts - Drawing with fibre and fleece
27th February to 13th March - Thursday 10am until 12pm
Week 1 - In this session we’ll be working on a range of experimental observational drawings which we will use to create our fleece and fibre pieces. We’ll be working on a variety of surfaces and backgrounds using gesso inks paint and water soluble pencil to produce our own personal library of image texture and colour.
Week 2 - In this session Jo will be helping and guiding you to translate your drawings onto your textile pieces. She’ll demonstrate the process of making your textile piece using a wet felting technique. They’ll be a range of fibres and fleece for you to use, working from drawings and studies you produced in week 1.
Week 3 - Further development of last weeks textile piece. Just like painting- this will be a process to which you can add glazes of colour using fleece. This may include hand stitching adding more layers reworking or producing another piece. You may wish to bring fibres and fabrics to add to your work.
Please note: If the course/class has less than 5 clients booked, there is a chance of the course/class being cancelled. For this reason, we recommend booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If the course is cancelled, we will offer a full refund or transfer to a similar course/class.
