Our Saturday Junior Art club is especially for children 5 to 10 years. The class combines fun and creativity while developing technical art and craft skills. Each half term has a theme based project written by the tutors - recently we’ve had a go at pointillism, portraiture and print-making.

Two classes available - 5 to 7 years + 8 to 10 years these run in the same space with the same project, but the tutors will give each age group a different level of difficulty.

We ensure the children create alongside merging artists who inspire and enthuse, trying out techniques and using materials that schools generally don’t teach until later years of High School.

Our Globe tutors running these courses are experienced teachers, with DBS and first aid training.

In our Feb/March term we looked at experimental drawing, Sensory Drawing, Hot Wax Drawing inspired by Kandinsky, Abstract Shadows, and creating our very own Shadow Sculptures inspired by Tim Burton and Alberto Giacometti! See the pictures below!

Saturdays 9.30am to 11am, throughout the term during term time.
