Learn the basic techniques of fused glass making, or develop your skills further in our term time evening class - perfect to experiment and create your own small project pieces. You will learn a variety of fusing methods and materials including frits, confetti, stringer and inclusions.
Suitable for beginners and those will some fused glass experience, and includes all tuition, equipment, materials (significant glass stock included with the option to purchase additional glass if needed for large projects).

As the evenings lengthen and the nights begin to warm, it is the perfect opportunity to spend an evening developing your skills in drawing and painting. Weather permitting we'll be outside exploring the village setting - there is so much scope with the canal and riverside, shops, mills and village life!
Using the environment for inspiration, we'll be using a wide range of methods and techniques to record the landscape from pencil and pen to inks and paint. We like to ensure all our courses are flexible, so each week is a stand alone session and you can either join us for the whole term, or book the weeks you can attend.

Develop a wide range of fundamental techniques using wet and dry media. Our Ceramics course is the perfect opportunity to unwind whilst working with clay. You will learn a variety of techniques, including pinch, coil and moulded forms, creating your own small pieces to decorate with slips and glazes.
This term we will be trying out some new surface techniques, learning about different stages of clay, construction and adding detaisl like handles and feet. We will be trying slip decoration on raw clay, adding under-glazes to bisque ware and trying some wax resist glazing. We will be making objects that are a mixture of function and fun.
Ammie has worked clay in large scale public projects and taught ceramics for over 25 years. She is a resident in the new Globe Arts studio workspaces.
Suitable for beginners and those who enjoy working with clay. All materials, equipment, firing and tuition is included. We limit our class sizes to ensure a relaxed, friendly environment with plenty of one to one support available.

Our new Art Class begins this June and is a great class for those looking to explore their creativity through the exploration of a range of art and craft techniques. Jackie Harrowsmith, is a talented and experienced artist and Art teacher and she will ensure that you build confidence to try different techniques from drawing, painting, print-making and textiles.
An enjoyable, social class aimed at those wanting to return to art as well as providing challenge for those with more experience.

Our Wednesday Workshops are the perfect mid-week wind down. Join us for an evening of art and craft, each session we will be a new technique, and the hour and a half gives you time to try out the technique - a great introduction to a new skill!

Craftanoon means getting together with friends, having fun and raising some money for Mind.
We've team up for a joint event with our neighbours, Simply Solids. Join us and explore some crafting techniques (we'll have batik and silk painting available - maybe more!), learn something new, make something to take home and chat over coffee and cake!
There is a small charge for the event to cover materials and refreshments, and we are asking for donations on the day to support the work that Mind do in supporting people experiencing mental health issues.

We have a 2 hour Builder Workshop for the enthusiastic lego builder! This fun workshop is aimed at children aged 7 plus who love to construct - this holiday we have a fairground theme - and there will be lots of opportunity to build a host of moving models of increasing levels of complexity and challenge (so suitable for the early builders to those with more experience).
Bricks4Kids are experts in the delivery of builder workshops, and run our term time after school club too. So, book your children in for a morning of making - and you can go and enjoy a couple of hours me time!

We've teamed up with BeMoreOutdoors (Babes in the Wood) to bring together a fantastic opportunity for children to immerse themselves in both the arts and outdoors.

Be More Outdoors is a well-established forest school who focus on engaging with the outdoors to promote personal development. David Preston returns with his Creative Digital Photography workshop but this time it's just for the kids! Aimed at children aged 10 years plus who are keen to increase their camera skills - bring your own digital SLR or we have 2 available to loan.
David says you'll "learn the basics of digital photography and get more from your camera. As well as understanding the basics of good composition and lighting you will learn how to use your camera to become creative and experimental. After the course you will be on your way to creating your own unique images. Email support is provided after the course if you have any further questions or just want to share your images or have them critiqued.

Bricks4Kidz classes provide an extraordinary atmosphere for children, where we learn, we build, we play… with LEGO® Bricks. Our weekly class for pre-school age babies and children. The children explore different art activities, giving them a chance to really express themselves. Our new after school art club on Thursdays is especially for children 8 years who will benefit from smaller class size and extra support. Over the course of club we will be exploring art from around the world.
